Welcome to Castanea Township …

Castanea Township was incorporated in December of 1877. The township is located in eastern Clinton County, bordered to the north by the West Branch of the Susquehanna River and to the south by Lamar and Bald Eagle Townships. The township encompasses a total of 6 square miles with a population of 1,095 (2020 Census).

Castanea Halloween Parade

Sunday, October 29, 2023 starting at 4PM

The parade will start at Brown Street, moves to McElhattan Avenue, and ends at the Castanea Fire Hall. This community parade features costumes, prizes, floats, and emergency vehicles, plus a children’s show at the fire hall afterward.
